We worked closely with Bortolotto Architects to design the environmental graphics for this premier flagship branch of the TD bank in central Toronto. We clarified project goals, planned, implemented and navigated all components of the extensive graphics program through design, production and installation.

The scope included exterior graphics, gateway signage, ATM privacy screens, interior office windows, image research and art strategy, digital migration signage and the welcome and menu boards in the branch.

We researched best international practice, familiarized ourselves with and adapted the new TD brand amplification strategy, and created a number of concept options. There was extensive dialogue with the entire team to finalize design solutions. We also researched and created the nostalgic story for “Heart of Yorkville”, that celebrates the late 1960s coffee-house culture of local bars and clubs that featured Joni Mitchell, Neil Young and Gordon Lightfoot that were located just around the corner from the location. We explored old image files from newspapers and image agencies and located a set of period photos that were printed, framed and hung around the TD offices to bring local charm to the working spaces.
